IST 541 Multimedia Tools II: Interactive Media ~ 2 Credits
Teaches the theory and practice of interactive media through the use of new technologies. Students will gain an understanding of the production process by completing short exercises culminating in a final project.

Work Examples HTML5 and JQuery Interactions This lab combines HTML5 and JQuery skills with content that was preparing for my Capstone project. The design shows JQuery elements that reveals answers to questions and highlights portions of the content to review with missed responses. The site was created using Adobe Dreamweaver.
Final Project The final project for this course was to create a short instructional course entirely in HTML5 and JQuery. Again, I used a part of my Capstone project to help me flesh out the content, and to investigate how I'd build the same course using Adobe Dreamweaver.
A capstone contributes to the disciplines or the professions by adding to technical/professional knowledge or by providing an original application of technical/professional knowledge in the professional field. Examples include a field study, a project, applied research, or a professional article of publishable quality.
Graduate Learning Outcome 7:
Culminate learning experience in the program and finish an IST Capstone
Demonstrate skills of doing analysis, design, development, evaluation, research and presentation of a substantial project or thesis related to instructional science and technology.
Formally and publicly present the results of the project or thesis.
Create a professional e-portfolio and display during the capstone festival
Work Examples Capstone The capstone project represents the culmination of my MIST experience. I used Adobe Captivate and a variety of programs and tools to complete the project. I feel that the product demonstrates my abilities as well as the growth I've experienced learning the tools and theory behind course construction.
